The tranquil village of Bonnevaux ‘la discrète’ is on the only road that links the two great valleys of this vast ski area, equidistant from Châtel and Morzine, and just 3 miles from the bustling town of Abondance with ski resort, bars, restaurants, renowned Sunday market and a superb ancient Abbey.
The Portes du Soleil boasts an overwhelming 650 Km of slopes in the French and Swiss Alps 207 lifts and limitless off-piste. Alternatively as close as 5 minutes away are several fabulous secluded ski areas, truly the locals’ best-kept secrets, and ideal for getting away from the crowds in search of fresh powder; there are times when you find yourself completely alone on an untouched mountain in pristine snow.
