 Our open-plan living space, with beautiful 'log cabin' interior and 18m2 balcony, are on the first floor to make the most of the truly spectacular, uninterrupted views. Solar energy compliments the wood burning stoves that are the main source of heating. In the heart of the house is the Finnish Tulikivi made of soapstone, which gently radiates heat from its "stone with soul" creating a cosy ambience. Notre espace de vie ouvert avec ses rondins empilés, complété par un balcon de 18m2, sont situés au premier étage pour profiter au mieux de la vue imprenable si spectaculaire. L'énergie solaire complète les poeles au bois qui sont la principale source de chaleur. Au coeur de la maison c'est le Tulikivi Finlandais, qui irradie gentiment à partir de son "stone with soul" créant une ambiance chaleureuse.
 There are many different activities for non-skiers including walking, with or without snow-shoes, Nordic skiing, ice-skating and swimming. The scenery is magnificent and there are places to visit such as the outdoor markets, historical buildings and gourmet restaurants in both on the slopes and in the valleys. There are spa towns where you can pamper yourself with treatments and massage or you could even take you chance in the casino in Evian on Lake Geneva, only 15 minutes away from us! Il y a de nombreuses autres activités pour les non-skieurs, y compris la marche à raquettes, le ski de fond et le patinage. Toute l’année il y a une grande variété de visites à faire, que ce soit des marchés, des monuments historiques ou des restaurants gastronomiques aussi bien aux sommets que dans la vallée et bien sûr, l’enchantement des lieux avec ses magnifiques lacs. Nous sommes à proximité de villes d’eau où vous pouvez vous gâter ou pourquoi pas tenter votre chance au casino d’Evian à 20 minutes de chez nous.
 We started to design and build an ecological chalet in 2004 and we were able to celebrate Christmas that same year on the completed ground floor with our family, which was some feat in terms of timing and a great inauguration! We felt that it was symbolically significant to replace the medieval fortified castle (which was still there as a ruin in 1555) with a traditional mountain chalet. Au moment de commencer à planifier et construire notre chalet naturel en 2004, nous avons ressenti qu'il était hautement symbolique de remplacer la maison forte, déjà une ruine en 1555, par un chalet de facture traditionelle.
 There is nowhere more spectacular or more fun in the winter or summertime than the Chablais. So just find your way to Geneva Airport or, if you are travelling by car, directly to Chalet Châtelet, and we will look after everything else! Whenever you decide to come and see us, we will take great pleasure in welcoming you to our unique home.
